Welcome to Bear Totem Table & Tankard, a Spokane community hub where adventurers, strategists, and dreamers gather under one roof. Perched on the 2nd floor of the United Building in Hillyard, we provide a safe and welcoming space for all lovers of tabletop gaming, roleplaying adventures, and geek culture.

Our Story

Bear Totem’s origins begin with a group of nerdy Spokanites. They were Dungeons & Dragons players, thick with camaraderie and lucid imagination, seeking a place to call home. They collected terrain and miniatures as quickly as they gathered the stories of their derring-do, traveling from brewery to brewery to play upon their tables and sipping local brews to boot. However, these places are seldom constructed for the space and amenities our favorite tabletop games are known to require.
Adult gamers deserve a place to play their games and partake in delicious local Spokane brews, they unanimously agreed. And so they decided to open a store, themselves, and fill it with all the beer, all the gear, and all the cheer they could muster.

And thus Bear Totem was born! Huzzah!

Established in October of 2023, we believe in the magic of shared stories, the camaraderie of gaming nights, and the thrill of imagination, and we understand that adult gamers like adult beverages, and so we supply those, too. Whether you're rolling dice, painting miniatures, casting spells, or simply enjoying the vibrant community spirit, our doors are open to everyone. Yes, even your kids!
